Hi Guys!
Today I am going to do a beauty tutorial that complements green eyes. Emily is going to be modeling today's look. This look can be used for an everyday casual look.

To create this look, follow these steps:
1)Start off with any foundation of your choice to even out the skin tone.
2) After you apply foundation, put on your favorite concealer. Here I am using a concealer palette from Em Michelle Phan cosmetics.
3) Apply blush to the apples of your cheeks.
4) Apply a lip balm to your lips to make your lips all nice and buttery before applying your lipstick. I like to apply it before I do eye makeup to give moisture to your lips.
5) Apply eye shadow primer to the eye lids. Note: this step is optional; however, if you have oily lids, this step is a must because the primer will help control the oil and it will not break down the makeup as fast.
6) Apply the eye shadow like so:

I first used the pink eye shadow all over the lid. Then, I used the burgundy color in the crease of the eyes to complement her green eyes. I used the gray color on the inner corner of her eye and, finally, I used the white color on her brow bone as a highlight.

7) Line the eyes close to the lash line. You can tapeline the eyes also to make the illusion of bigger eyes. To tapeline, you line the area underneath the eye lashes on the top lid. Emily tapelined the outer corner of the lid. 8) Apply mascara to your top and bottom eyelashes.
9) Apply lipstick to your lips. Choose a lipstick that complements your skin tone. I chose a vintage romantic pink to go on Emily's lips.
10) Apply a face powder all over your face to set your makeup and help control oil and shine on your face.

The products I used on Emily:
*** Note: The eye shadow used in this look was purchased in a set at Ulta that is no longer available. The brand, however, is an Ulta brand.

Creamy Matte Lipstick from Em Michelle Phan Review.

Hi!
I'm Maggi and welcome to my beauty blog! I hope all of you had a good holiday season! This is my first blog post EVER! So, please ignore any so-called "bumps in the road" with this post. I'll be starting out reviewing different beauty products and techniques. If you are familiar with the beauty community of YouTube, chances are you could have quite possibly stumbled across Michelle Phan, a well known "beauty guru" and she has over 5,000,000 subscribers to prove it! She has recently launched her own luxury make-up line called Em Michelle Phan through L'Oreal. Today, I am going to talk about her Matte Lipstick.

The packaging of the lipstick is so nice and simple.  I like all the wording on the container.

The packing is made out of a light metal and will be very durable.

A swatch of the matte lipstick. The shade I have is called "Bachelorette" and is a nice pink.

This is what the lipstick looks like after a thin coat is put on-- a little goes a long way. The lipstick is nice and creamy--not drying at all-- and very pigmented.

The swatch after rubbing it back and forth about six times-- it is very long lasting!

The review:
Cost: 16.50 per tube. Pretty pricey for me. However, Em Michelle Phan does give out an occasional deal. I had to keep in mind about the packaging, and the fact that it is a luxury brand.
Product and Packaging:  I loved how the tube felt in my hand. It felt well-made, yet light in your hands. The product stayed true to its name--it was creamy--and far from drying. It was long-lasting, like most matte lipsticks. The color was very pigmented also.
Overall: I thought the lipstick was great for a luxury lipstick when you can get a good deal from their website, which is about every few months or so!
